About the Book: 

Let me introduce myself: I'm Dr. Mark Berrier; I've been teaching at Dallas Christian College for more than 40 years. I have taught Greek, Hebrew and Bible. Some years ago I wrote a book called The Bible for Busy People: Book I: The Old Testament. It was published in 1994. I then finished the NT one by the same name, Book II, in Dec. 2001.

They are written with about an 800-word vocabulary for my freshman classes in Survey of NT/OT. They have already been translated into Finnish, Hindi, Spanish and some other languages.

They are suitable to give to any new or long-time Christian, since they are a simple distillation of all my study in Bible over the last 56 years. I believe they would be useable in the prison systems of the U. S. They will be useable by pastors, elders and Bible teachers. I only want God to use them to help people. 

About the Author: 

Mark Berrier has completed three degrees, BA, MA, MDiv and was enrolled in PhD Theology in Greek Patristics at the Univ. of Dallas for several years. In 2011 he received a Doctorate of Divinity from Dallas Christian College. He completed 40 years at Dallas full-time. He still teaches there part-time while ministering fulltime 65 miles north of the campus in Sherman, TX.

His professional objective is to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to simplify the vastness and complexity of the Bible for a contemporary world. He has had many articles on different theological subjects published. He has two books available entitled The Bible for Busy People, books 1 and 2, on Old Testament and New Testament. Forthcoming is a Commentary on Genesis 1-11.

Most recently, Mark has been teaching minister and pastor for Central Christian Church in Sherman, TX from 2008 on. He still loves to preach and teach. He has been seminar speaker and leader interim minister and worship speaker for different denominations in TX, MO, IL, IA, OK, AR, NM, CO, CA, and KY. He also taught graduate level Hebrew for Wycliffe Bible Translators, and for the University of Texas at Arlington.

He has been teaching in the areas of Greek, Hebrew, Theology and Bible at Dallas Christian College since 1971. He has also led weeklong tours to Mexico City to work in orphan homes for many years to give his students the opportunity for a cross-cultural experience. He has also taught for Knights of Columbus and many Dallas-area Gypsies.        

Mark has been married for 50 years to the former Paula Nardoni. They have two children, age 42 and 44, both of whom are committed Christian ministers. His children have each been married several years, and have given Mark and Paula nine beautiful grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
