How It Works

Sentia Publishing knows the demands educators face today - heavy workloads, higher classroom headcounts, and rigorous goals for student results. We make your job easier by improving the content used in your class, saving your students money, and improving the overall educational experience.

We also want to make your dream of publishing your non academic book a reality!  Unlike vanity presses or self publishing options, you get the services of a real publisher at a much better price.

Here is how to get started with us, and how our publishing process works:

Step 1: Submit Your Idea

Fill out our easy idea submission form.

Step 2: Editor interview

One of our trained educational editors will set up an interview with you to analyze your publishing needs, and to work with you to identify the best publishing solution for you.

Step 3: Completing Our Flexible Publishing Agreement

Your editor will develop a publishing agreement with you based on the needs and goals identified in your interview. The agreement is very flexible, and it lays out the project specifications and timelines. This will include the format of the project - eBook, textbook, combination of both, or website. It will also layout a general writing plan for submission of your manuscript. You always keep your copyright on your work, and our agreements are all annual contracts. If you do not like working with us after one year, fire us.  Also, for academic projects, we assume all costs of final production. Neither you nor the school are ever on the hook or responsible for any costs.

Step 4: Content Submission

After signing the publishing agreement, you will turn in the content based on the writing plan set up with you and your editor. You can submit content in any commercially available electronic format - Word, PDF, or even open source software.  Our design team works with all software formats.

Step 5: Publishing Production

We take your content and do a full production on it to turn it into a beautiful final product. You do not have to worry about formatting or laying out your material. Sentia Publishing does all of the heavy lifting: type-setting, spell-checking, pagination, copy editing, supplemental artwork, cover design, and most importantly the timely manufacturing of the books themselves. We can even help clear outside copyrights and permissions.

Step 6: Author Review

You get a full layout review to see what the final product looks like. You get full input on the final changes before going to print or completion of the eBook or website.

We also can also provide editorial peer reviews of manuscripts.  Just ask your editor. 

Step 7: Sales and Marketing

When the author gives final approval for production, the eBook, website or print book is completed. We sell the final product via traditional bookstores, but also our website, Amazon and over 300 third party eCommerce sites. Also, unlike many custom publishers who promise marketing of the title but never deliver, we will market your product nationwide.
