About the Author:

Dr. Harvey Hyman is an information scientist and an inventor of several U.S. patents in the field of information retrieval. He is a leading expert in the areas of system design and development, and project management. He received his PhD from University of South Florida and currently is an assistant professor of advanced technology at Florida Polytechnic University. Prior to that, he served as a visiting professor at Georgia Southern University. Dr. Hyman is also a chief petty officer in the U. S. Coast Guard Reserve, with over eight years of active duty, including service in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
