About The Author

Kim D. Phifer-Starks received the B.A. and M.S. degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law. She has been the Paralegal Technology Instructor / Advisor at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for ten years. Before beginning full-time at MGCCC, she prosecuted domestic violence cases at the City of Gulfport. Prior to that, she had a private law office, where she had a general practice, primarily focusing on cases in domestic, juvenile, and real estate law.
